WHAT THIS IS ABOUT:

This file is a full Duke3D High-Resolution Pack (HRP) release. It gives you
all additional content that has been released since Nov 1, 2005.



IMPORTANT NOTES:
################

- This is *NOT* an "official" release by Parkar! However, it is kindly
  accepted as a "third-party" offer and hosted on his site. Hopefully, Parkar 
  and I will be working together more closely in the not-so-distant future so 
  that a unified version can be realized.

- The release contains all fixes/additions since the last HRP from Nov 1, 2005.
  HRP Update Pack v1.10 is integrated, with all "doubled"/outdated files removed.

- Maphacks Reloaded v1.10 have been included so you dont need external maphacks.
  When new maphacks should be issued, you can just load them as an additional
  parameter (/gmaphacks.zip) - old hacks in the HRP will be ignored.

- Muzzleflashes for the following weapons have been removed purposely:
     > Shotgun
     > Ripper Chaingun 
     > RPG
  This had to be done in order to avoid sprite muzzleflashes not being drawn 
  where the actual weapons muzzles are. Besides, the old sprites looked crappy
  (and misplaced) when combined with the modelled guns. New models hopefully 
  will have modelled muzzleflashes, so they arent gone forever.

- You will need a recent release of eDuke32 for the HUD weapons to work correctly.
  This means eDuke32 v1.4.0 Beta 1 (Snapshot v2006-05-20) or later!

- I am just collecting stuff that pops up in the 3DR forums, I do *NOT* claim
  to have created most of the art contained within this file! Credits go to the 
  real artists like Roma Loom, Piterplus, Tea Monster, AlgorithMan or mean person.



HOW TO USE IT:
##############

I decided to name the pack different to the "official" one so that you can
keep your old HRP in place in case you have been using that one before ("XTR"
standing for "External Release").

Syntax: [executable] /g[HRP file]

Example: E:\Duke3D\eduke32.exe /gduke3d_xtr.zip

In case you use mods like the gorepack (SD Duke mod) or maphacks, be sure to
load them *AFTER* this zipfile in order to maintain full functionality of
all high-res contents.

Example: E:\Duke3D\eduke32.exe /gduke3d_xtr.zip /gmaphacks.zip /gsd_duke.zip
